5x7 & 6x10

Beach Huts

Feeling nostalgic for the beach and a bit whimsical, stitch up some cute little beach huts and dream of happy sun-filled days!

They can be strung together for a fun bunting or you can create a fanciful beach scene on a shelf and you can put a little LED tea light inside for a soft glow.

There are three huts included in two sizes each for the 5x7 and 6x10 hoop. The small one measures about 1.5" wide by 2.5" tall and the large one measures about 2" wide by 3" tall.

Each one stitches up in a single hooping in three pieces (the house, the roof, and the flag) and has between 5,800 and 8,800 stitches and between 8 and 10 color stops.  Each hut uses two pieces of felt, and one of the huts also uses small scraps of cotton fabric for the windows, door and flag.

They are stitched onto water-soluble stabilizer and they are lightly rinsed and dried flat so they are stiff and crisp.  They are then folded into shape with a line of glue up the back and along the roof to assemble.  I use round wooden toothpicks for the flagpole.

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
