These are very easy to make and fun to embellish in the hoop lanterns that each hold a single flameless (battery-powered) tealight. They look great with hotfix crystals, bits of chain, beads, and other findings. They can be shimmery made with organza, or more subtle with a few layers of tulle, and also work well with other fabrics such as lace, burnout and thin cottons.
The lanterns stitch up quick (12,000-16,000 stitches each) in a single 5"x7" hooping using a single colour of thread. They would make great wedding favours - you could hang them from the ceiling or a tree with each guests name printed on a tiny tag hanging from each lantern and the guests would need to find their own lantern which they could then bring home at the end of the evening!
This set contains three files to create three different lanterns. Design file size (5"x7" hoop): largest width = 4.87"; largest length = 5.67"
Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
