6x8

Single Pocket Journal

This single journal cover is quickly and easily created in a single 6"x8" hooping with no additional hand or machine stitching needed.  It fits the mini-composition books available at Walmart and most dollar stores.  The best fabrics for this project are no-fray natural and synthetic fibers such as leather, pleather, vinyl and suede; for the inside lining and applique I generally use quilters cotton backed with a heavy fusible interfacing,  No additional materials are needed to complete this project, though hotrocks and similar hotfix crystals and brad or rivet embellishments really make it stand out.

The design file measures 5.3" x 7.45" (135 x 190 mm) so it will fit many Janome and Bernina 5x7 hoops (which are 140 x 200 mm).

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
