Pocket Journals

I never leave home without a small notebook in my purse – never know when inspiration will strike!  So I decided to turn my notebook compulsion into a set. When I have filled all the pages in the notebook insert, I just take it out and put a new one in.

The journal covers are digitized for vinyl, leather, pigskin, pleather, and similar no-fray synthetic fabrics.  The journal cover is completed in one 6”x8” hooping and the design files measure 5.31” x 7.45” (135 x 189 mm - it will fit many Bernina and Janome 5x7 hoops which actually measure 140 x 200 mm).   The completed notebooks measure 5” tall by 3.5” wide and the project can be completed  in less than 45 minutes.   The designs have 7-9 colour stops but are generally stitched using a single colour of thread and they don’t require any additional hand or machine stitching to complete.

Instructions are included for inserting decorative brads during the stitching process and the prongs are hidden securely between the layers.  Hotfix crystals and other embellishments can also be used.  One design uses purchased lace.  The notebook covers fit the 3¼ x 4½” mini-composition books which can be purchased at Walmart and most dollar stores in packs of three, but also included in the package is instructions to make your own 50-sheet notebook, a mini-album and a template to include a story or poem.

Stitch Count = 3,600 – 7,300

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
