Easter Chick Egg Pocket

This cute quick-stitch Easter Chick Egg Pocket is created in a single hooping, entirely on the front of the hoop - super quick and easy. Hang the pocket on your wall or mantle and on Easter morning, add a few chocolates or a small gift to the pocket for the little one's to find!

The egg pocket is stitched in the 5x7 hoop, has 4,000 stitches, and when finished measures about 4.6" wide by 6.5" tall.  I used terry cloth for the chick and felt for the white egg and pocket part, but regular cotton, fleece or just about any other fabric can be used for the chick.  The pocket works best with a thick stiff fusible interfacing inside, such as Pellon Peltex 72F (or Dritz InnerFuse, FlexiFirm, Fast2Fuse, TimTex), or you can use stiff felt inside with a fusible web applied to it (fusible web such as StitchWitchery, MistyFuse, WonderWeb, Heat 'n Bond Lite, or Steam a Seam Lite).  This enables the pocket back to remain stiff so it doesn't sag.

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
