Christmas Cards

It is so useful to be able to quickly stitch up a handmade Christmas Card whenever you need one!  These designs are also great for craft fairs, they can be sold individually or in sets.  The card can be made entirely of felt with cardstock on the inside to write on and for structure, or you can cut out the square and glue it to the front of a blank card.  Colored blank card and envelope sets (4.5" x 6") are available from many dollar stores.

These cards are easy to create in a single hooping with 6-8 color stops, 3,500 - 5,500 stitches, and you only need to remove the hoop once to trim the two applique pieces.  Even better, they use only two small scraps of fabric and a piece of felt.  The embroidery designs measure 3.6" x 3.6".

For this project you need felt (any felt will do - regular acrylic, wool, glitter...), two scraps of cotton fabric for the applique pieces, and spray glue to attach the felt to the cards or cardstock.  You can also further embellish the cards with hotfix crystals.

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
