Halloween Candy Pouches

A Sack of Screams makes an excellent loot bag for a Halloween party!  Or perhaps a Bag of Bones?  Can I interest you in some Nightmares?  What fun!  The pouches are made from regular quilting cotton and they are fully lined with no raw edges.

This is a deceptively easy in the hoop project, created in a single hooping, with only one line of straight stitches on your sewing machine to complete the drawstring casing.  But if you don't want to use your sewing machine, you can fuse the casing down with a fusible web or fabric glue and add some snaps instead.

A link to a 15-minute video tutorial on stitching and finishing the pouches is included in the instructions.  The tutorial is created in real-time from stitching to assembly (except the bits where the machine is stitching - I fast-forwarded those).

There are three different designs in two sizes each, one for the 4x4 hoop and one 5x7.  Each pouch has between 3600 and 5900 stitches and stitches in 10 color stops.

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
