5x7 & 6x10

Measuring Tape Keyring

Often when I am out shopping for craft items or things for the home I've wished I had a tape measure on me, and now I have the perfect 9" measuring tape on my key-chain!  Ridiculously easy with one color of thread, only 2 color stops, less than 2500 stitches per design, and one single jump stitch.  The measurements are precise to 1/8th of an inch so this project is very functional.  It also makes an excellent stocking stuffer.

The set includes both inches and centimeters in two styles and two sizes (5x7 & 6x10) - one that folds in half with a snap in the middle and one that wraps around with either two snaps or a snap and a rivet at the top.  Also included are files to stitch multiples in a hoop for those of you who do craft fairs (or have large handy families).

The design requires two pieces of vinyl, one or two snaps (Kam or 1/2" metal prong cap snaps), and a 1/2" or 3/4" swivel hook, split ring or D-ring.  I used a variety of vinyl’s for these fobs, the green one is a very thick flannel-backed vinyl, the red one is regular marine vinyl, and the yellow ones are a thinner vinyl canvas – all three worked great.

The bag pictured in the 4th photo is the Alyssia Clutch from RLR Creations available on Craftsy.

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
