This fabric zipper pouch combines fabric and lace with a touch of leather (or vinyl!) for a beautiful and professional cosmetic bag with a high quality finish. The fabric and lace accent at the bottom goes around across the back of the pouch and the 'tag' embellishment adds a sophisticated element that can be made in lightweight leather (such as pigskin), suede, vinyl, leatherette, or other similar no-fray fabrics. The tag can also be further embellished using brads, rivets or hotfix crystals.
There is no bottom seam on the exterior or the lining and the bags are lined with a layer of lightweight fusible fleece for a very soft and durable pouch. There are no exposed seams and the zipper is installed clean in the hoop so no bits of stabilizer to pick away on the back of the zipper.
Materials needed: main exterior fabric, contrast exterior fabric, lining fabric (cotton works great for the fabric), lace trim (or ribbon), small 3" piece of leather/vinyl, #3 zipper (regular dressmakers zipper), and lightweight fusible fleece (such as Pellon 987F).
The pouches are each created in a single hooping. After the design is stitched and removed from the hoop, the only finishing needed is to sew up the 2.5" turning hole. The set includes five sizes and each pouch has between 2200 and 3600 stitches and they are completed in 12 color stops.
Measurements:
5x7 hoop = pouch 4.75" wide and 5.5" tall
6x10 hoop = pouch 5.5" wide and 6.75" tall
7x11 hoop = pouch 9.5" wide and 5.75" tall
8x8 hoop = pouch 7.5" wide and 6.25" tall
8x12 hoop = pouch 11.5" wide and 6.25" tall
