Animal Zipper Pouches

This set of three adorable and practical zipper pouches can be clipped to a stroller to hold small baby essentials, or to a backpack for pencils or small toys, or it can be a cute purse.  They are made in two 6”x8” hoopings with the back zipper part made first, then it is attached during the front stitchout.  The instructions also include detailed instructions on making the zipper part using a sewing machine instead of a hoop (it takes about 18-20 minutes to make the back in the hoop, including all the stitching and flipping, and 10-12 minutes to stitch the zipper piece with a sewing machine - although the in-hoop method results in a perfect zipper and quilting design every time!)

Each pouch can be completed, front and back, start to finish (not including fabric cutting and colour selection :-) in about 1.5 hours.  In addition to fabric (quilters cotton works well), you will need a lightweight fleece, batting or felt, a minimum 9” zipper, and a piece of ribbon.  Each pouch has from 10,000-16,000 stitches.  The set includes a ladybug, turtle and a girly owl (and as a bonus, a second more boyish owl design is also included) as well as 3 different zipper back pieces.  The size of the largest file is 5.45”x7.78” (13.8cm x 19.8cm).

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
